1. About Grow and Eat It
Grow and Eat It helps adult gardeners view sowing information for their climate zone, record plants they are growing, and receive tailored gardening tasks based on their plants, location, climate zone and growing conditions.
The app is based in Australia and is currently tailored for Australian gardeners, although people in other countries may be able to access it.
2. Personal information we collect
We may collect:
Account information, including your email address.
Location and address information, used to determine your gardening climate zone and weather conditions.
Gardening information, including plants you add, planting dates, planting methods, growing records and completed tasks.
Subscription and payment status information.
Device, usage and analytics information, including app interactions, feature use, crash or performance data, and general technical information.
Communication preferences, including newsletter and push notification settings.
Payment details are processed by Apple or Google, depending on where you subscribe. We do not directly store your full payment card details.
3. Location information
Grow and Eat It uses location information to provide climate-zone guidance, weather-based information and relevant gardening tasks.
You may be able to manage location permissions through your device settings. If you disable location access, some app features may not work correctly or may be less accurate.
4. How we use your information

8. Data retention and account deletion
You can request account deletion through the app settings menu.
After you request deletion, your account enters a 14-day deletion period. During this period, you may change your mind and restore your account. After 14 days, we will permanently delete or anonymise your account information, except where we need to retain limited information for legal, security, fraud prevention, tax, accounting or backup purposes.
Some residual copies may remain in backups for a limited period before being overwritten.

We take reasonable steps to protect personal information from misuse, interference, loss, unauthorised access, modification or disclosure. No online service can be guaranteed to be completely secure, so users should also protect their account credentials and devices.
